"Composing the music for "Highlander-The Series" has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to sonically explore the emotional life of Duncan and the people around him.
It has also given me the opportunity to pose my own musings about mortality and place them in a musical context. After all, who hasn't wondered what it would be like to live forever? We have all dreamed of the freedom that an eternity of time might afford us, at the same time questioning whether immortality would be a blessing or a curse."
Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, Roger Bellon composed the music to 120 episodes of "Highlander-The Series", (Saturn Awards: Nominated, Best DVD TV Programming Release (Season One) and Best Genre Syndicated TV Series, Gemini Awards: Nominated, Best Dramatic Series).

May 1992 was the first time I met Executive Producer Bill Panzer. Not a frame of the Highlander Series had yet then been shot but he was eager to bring a composer on board. Bill was adamant that each episode was to be though of as a mini feature film: therefore each episode would have its own particular style of music.
To me the idea of creating new styles of music each week was very exciting. When I look back on how unique the episodes were, Homeland - celtic music, Duende - Flamenco music, Money No Object - 1920's Flapper music, Samurai - traditional Japanese music etc. I marvel at the creative energy that went into HIghlander The Series.
After 119 shows I admit that we attained Bill's vision of creating mini feature films. I hope the legacy of the Highlander will be enjoyed for years to come by fans eager to discover that indeed "there can be only One".
