Highlander WorldWide welcomes Amanda Wyss to our Watchercon event, which is her first Highlander convention event
In the first season of Highlander: The Series, Amanda played the role of Randi McFarland, the investigative journalist who makes life difficult for Seacouver resident Duncan MacLeod… always suspicious of his activities and believing he was far more involved in the city’s strange occurrences than he was letting on (And, let’s be honest, she clearly had good instincts, as he usually was involved… up to his neck!)
Amanda began her screen career in the early 1980s and gained attention for her role as Lisa in 1982’s Fast Times at Ridgemont High and as Tina Gray, the first on-screen victim of dream-dwelling Freddy Krueger in 1984’s horror classic A Nightmare on Elm Street. The following year she also appeared in Silverado and Better Off Dead.
As well as the recurring role in the Highlander series, Amanda appeared in multiple episodes of such shows as When the Whistle Blows, St. Elsewhere, Cheers, Cagney and Lacey (playing Cagney’s niece), CSI, Murder in the First and also in the classic ‘The Leap Back‘ episode of Quantum Leap. Other shows included Buck Rogers in the Twenty-Fifth Century, Otherworld, My Two Dads, Charmed, Profiler, Diagnosis Murder, Judging Amy, The Division and JAG.
Upcoming productions include the tv mini-series Iron Nest of the Moon, The Lighthouse and Catch a Falling Star.
