HIGHLANDER’S ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY GETS GRAPHIC…

With 2026 being the fortieth anniversary of the original Highlander film, there will be several book tie-ins.

As most people know, creator Gregory Widen came up with the basic concept of Highlander for a writing project as part of his  time as a UCLA undergraduate in the 1980s. Though the story differed in various respects from the eventual movie, many of the famous building blocks and characters are there. Now fans will get a chance to experience that work when Highlander: The Original Screenplay is published in graphic novel form by Titan Books.

The 128 page edition will be illustrated by Szymon Kudranski, the Polish comic book artist and illustrator who is best known for his work on Image Comics’ Spawn, IDW Publishing’s 30 Days of Night as well as Batman: Streets of Gotham,  Bruce Wayne: The Road Home and Penguin: Pain and Prejudice for DC Comics.

The book will be released in November.
