Story:  The world does not end with a bang, but a whimper… or that is what it must feel like for those living through it.

Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul) looks around him as he travels through a desolate, apathetic and violent world and wonders if any of his efforts have been worth it – and whether he will ever be able to find the woman, Anna (Thekla Rueten) whom had come to mean so much to him…

But as MacLeod looks for motivation and redemption in the piles of rubble and empty faces he sees, there are far bigger forces at work that will shape his quest. The legends of the Immortals claimed there ‘can be only one’, but as events and planets align on a cosmic scale, the full truth of that may finally come into focus.

Methos (Peter Wingfield) always thought it might be him and if not… then… maybe, MacLeod… Joe Dawson (Jim Byrnes) only wants to protect his friend… but as the forces of darkness and light draw near and a ‘Guardian’ is raised for the time of the final testing, many such assumptions and loyalties may have to be cast aside.

As his true destiny is revealed, MacLeod will face what may be his final challenge… but will he be able to protect himself, those he loves and cares about… and maybe humanity itself?
