HIGHLANDER’S ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY GETS ILLUSTRATED…

After many years in the wilderness that makes the Highlands look like a busy city, it’s been a busy twelve months for Highlander (and next year looks to be even bigger with the release of the reboot!). But before that, we round off 2026 with the December release of Highlander: The Illustrated Screenplay.

The comics combine Gregory Widen’s original work (before some of the changes were made for the screen) and artist Szymon Kudranski provides the illustration. The formal listing reads: This lavishly illustrated comic tells the story of the immortal Connor MacLeod as he lives through the centuries facing off against rivals for the mysterious prize. Based on Gregory Widen’s original script, this volume presents the story as you’ve never seen it before. 

There will be five different cover artists  (technically twelve covers with variations including a blank cover for the first issue… also including one based on Bryan Bysouth’s classic poster design in ‘distressed/paperback style. You can see the main four of them above with a fifth, by Gerardo Zaffino, yet to be revealed.
